Serving Hesperia since 1990
Philly Steak & Sub opened its doors in Hesperia in 1990 and has been feeding the High Desert from the same kitchen, with the same original recipes, ever since. Neighborhoods have grown up around us and the freeway traffic has come and gone, but the way we cook hasn't changed in over three decades. When people say they've been coming here for years, they mean it.
Fresh daily, best quality
We started with one promise: fresh ingredients, best quality, every single order. It's a simple idea that takes real work — quality-sliced meats, vegetables prepped daily, and nothing built until you order it. That promise is still the first thing we show up to keep every morning, and it's why the food tastes the same today as it did in 1990.
The Philly that started it all
Our fries, onion rings, and zucchinis are made in-house every day — never frozen, never from a bag. And the sub that started it all, the Philly Steak Sub, is thinly sliced ribeye grilled to order and piled with onion, bell pepper, mushroom, and melted cheese on fresh bread, in an 8" or a hearty 12". It's the same recipe we've made since day one.
Beyond the Philly
Over the years the menu grew without ever losing its roots. Korean-style K-Wings tossed in Sweet Chili, Hot, Lemon Pepper, BBQ, or Teriyaki sit right next to a Bulgogi Sub of grilled marinated ribeye, a Pastrami Sub, chicken Phillys, and cold classics like the Original Super Sub. Then there's the sweet side — smoothies and boba tea you don't expect from a sub shop. One kitchen, a whole lot of range.
A Hesperia local and an I-15 landmark
We sit in the High Desert right along the I-15, on the stretch between Los Angeles and Las Vegas. That's made us two things at once: a neighborhood regular for Hesperia families and a favorite pit stop for road trippers who've learned to plan their drive around a stop here. Word travels fast when the food is this consistent, and after 30-plus years, a lot of people know exactly where to pull off.
